Illinois Fraternal Order of Police Endorses Michael McAuliffe For State Representative
CHICAGO, IL – State Representative Michael P. McAuliffe has received the unanimous endorsement of the Illinois Fraternal of Police for his longstanding commitment to the men and women in the law enforcement community.
“We support Rep. McAuliffe because he supports law enforcement,” said FOP State Lodge President Chris Southwood. “We feel McAuliffe has backed the men and women who wear the uniform and protect and serve our citizens. He understands the unique needs of those in law enforcement and works hard to ensure the safety of our officers and the public.”
Representative McAuliffe stated, “I am honored to receive the endorsement of the Fraternal Order of Police State Lodge. As the son of a police officer, I’m proud to have earned a reputation as an unfaltering voice for our men and women in blue during my time in Springfield. Whether protecting pensions or working to strengthen laws for those who would harm police officers, it is essential we take care of those who risk their lives for our safety. I look forward to continuing my work as an advocate for our first responders and all the residents of the 20th District.”
The Illinois Fraternal Order of Police State Lodge represents more than 34,000 active-duty and retired police officers and is the second largest State lodge in the nation.
